3 dead, 14 injured in shooting in Tennessee

Three people were killed and 14 others were injured in a shooting in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on Sunday, with some victims shot dead while others were caused by cars trying to flee the area, local police said.

Jeremy Eames, a spokesman for the Chattanooga Police Department, told CNN that police responded to reports of a shooting in a nightclub before 0245 a.m. local time. Police found several victims upon arrival and began providing medical care.

Amis explained that in total, 14 victims were injured by gunshots, while three other victims fell when they were hit by cars trying to flee the scene of the shooting.

Police believe that more than one person took part in the shooting, but no suspects have been detained.
