Yemenis and the people of Taiz in particular are looking forward to the efforts of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, who is leading great efforts to achieve a breakthrough with regard to opening roads and crossings in Taiz and other governorates, through the second round consultations between the delegations of the Yemeni government and the Houthi militias, which are hosted by them. Amman, the Jordanian capital.

Informed sources stated that the UN envoy was able to persuade the two delegations to hold a new round of "road consultations", and to discuss proposals regarding the roads of Taiz and other governorates, in a second round of consultations, starting today, Saturday, in the event that there are no obstacles that lead to its postponement until tomorrow, Sunday. .

The sources reported that the Houthi militia delegation continues to deal with the issue of opening crossings and roads, especially in Taiz, as a military issue, not a humanitarian one, which the militias revealed by naming their delegation in the Amman consultations as "the military delegation."

Houthi media sources reported that its "military" delegation to the Jordan consultations arrived yesterday evening in Amman, coming from the Sultanate of Oman, and that its participation in the second round of discussions comes as a continuation of the previous discussions, and in implementation of the outcomes of the first round.

For its part, the government delegation affirmed its commitment to searching for all ways to end the Houthi militia's siege of Taiz, and to put the world in front of the reality of the party obstructing the armistice agreement and the continuation of the suffering of the Yemeni people, indicating that any solutions will be dealt positively with alleviating the suffering of the people of Taiz, and Yemen in general.

The government delegation stated that the militia delegation is still procrastinating and refusing to open the main roads in Taiz.

The second Amman consultations are being held in conjunction with the members of the UN Security Council expressing concern about the serious humanitarian impact of the continued closure of roads around Taiz, and they called on the Houthi militia to act flexibly in the negotiations and open the main roads immediately.

For its part, the United States of America stressed the need to open roads to the city of Taiz immediately, and the same was confirmed by the French Foreign Ministry and international humanitarian organizations.

On the same level, the militias continue to impose their viewpoint regarding the opening of "Taiz roads militarily", as they continued to build a secondary road parallel to the "Ghorab" port road northwest of the city.

Sources close to the Houthis reported their categorical refusal to open the main roads in Taiz, and that the head of the Houthi delegation in Amman, called Major General Yahya Al-Razami, is the first responsible for the siege of Taiz eight years ago, and he suggested opening alternative roads, arguing that opening the Al-Hawban port constitutes a military threat. against their elements east of the city, and that the militias deliberately appointed Al-Razami, as the supervisor of the siege of Taiz, since 2015.

The sources pointed out that the road that is being built between the "Sixty and Fifty Streets" contradicts what was proposed by the UN envoy in the first round of consultations in Amman, that the main roads in Taiz will be opened gradually.

In addition, hundreds of Taiz residents continued to carry out protest stops at the city's ports to demand the speedy opening of the main roads of the city that has been besieged for years, and they view the second round of the Amman consultations as the last hope for breaking the siege of their city.

As part of the Houthi violations of the armistice, the militias bombed the Al-Ashraf neighborhood, east of the city of Taiz, with heavy artillery, causing damage to buildings, and causing panic and panic among civilians.

Al-Houthi elements also carried out an attempt to infiltrate the liberated areas in the Hays district, south of Hodeidah, which was thwarted by the joint forces.

In Abyan, the joint and southern forces thwarted an attempt by Houthi elements to infiltrate the Jaishan district, adjacent to the Al-Bayda and Shabwa governorates from the western and northeastern sides, after they advanced towards it from the mountainous areas between Al-Bayda and Lawdar District, north of Abyan governorate.

The militias failed to launch a ballistic missile yesterday evening, from Al-Qusair camp in Radaa in Al-Bayda, towards the city of Ma’rib, a few hours after the truce was announced, but it landed in an empty area near the village of Al-Humaydah, in the Walad Rabie District in the same governorate, causing a violent explosion that shook the area. .

While the Yemeni army renewed its commitment to the UN truce and its combat readiness in case the Houthi group continues to violate the truce, the militias continued to transfer fighters and weapons to Hajjah and Marib governorates, from the governorates of Dhamar, Abu, Hajjah, Amran and the countryside of Sanaa, as part of their violations of the truce.

The Yemeni government had renewed its warning of the danger of continuing the militia's summer camps, in which children and school students are recruited and transferred to training camps supervised by foreign experts in Sana'a and Dhamar.
