), as well as the previous decisions of Brussels and Washington, we can conclude: the arsenal of means to curb the development of our country has been exhausted,” the State Duma speaker wrote on Telegram.

Volodin stressed that with the introduction of new sanctions, politicians in Western countries were forced to choose "between a bad and a very bad scenario for the economies and citizens of their countries."

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the EU sanctions politicize the energy sector, the West is trying to use the interdependence of consumers and energy suppliers as an instrument of political pressure.
