It is noted that at the airport the Patriarch was met by Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus Veniamin (Tupeko), Commissioner for Religious and National Affairs Alexander Rumak, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Igor Petrishenko, State Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus Dmitry Mezentsev, Russian Ambassador to Belarus Boris Gryzlov.

“Every time I come to Belarus with great warmth and with a special inner feeling I set foot on the Belarusian land, because it is impossible not to remember the great feat of the people on this land, which faced terrible aggression face to face,” said the primate of the Russian Church.

The Patriarch's visit will last three days.
