The cluster of infections in four pubs in Central continued to expand, with a total of more than 70 cases in a single day.
Of the 446 new cases, 176 were positive for nucleic acid testing and 270 were positive for rapid testing.
Of the new cases, 64 are imported cases and the rest are local cases.
The fifth wave of the epidemic has recorded more than 1.202 million cases so far.
Zhang Zhujun, director of the Infectious Diseases Division of the Center for Health Protection, said that when the center conducted a nucleic acid test review of the positive cases reported by the rapid test on June 1, it was found that 72 cases were negative, accounting for 20% of the total positive cases reported by the rapid test.
As for the Central Bar Group, 27 more people were confirmed in the bar Shuffle, with a total of 42 cases recorded; 44 more people were confirmed in the bar LINQ, with a total of 65 cases recorded.
As for Zentral, which had an outbreak earlier, two more people were diagnosed, and the cluster recorded a total of 35 cases; the Iron Fairies bar, three more people were confirmed, and the cluster recorded a total of 51 cases.
Kwan Wai-min, Chief Administrative Manager (Medical Effectiveness and Technology Management) of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, pointed out that there have been no new deaths in the past day.
There are currently 351 confirmed patients in hospital.
