“NSD informs that due to the inclusion of NSD on 06/03/2022 in the list of persons provided for in Annex I of EU Regulation 269/2014, NSD recognizes the situation as an emergency,” follows from a statement on the official website.

As of June 3, the central depository did not impose additional restrictions on depository activities, but at NSD banking it suspended transactions in euros.

“Operations for debiting / crediting funds in other foreign currencies are carried out as usual,” NSD added.

Earlier, the European Union included the National Settlement Depository of Russia in the new sanctions list.

In total, the new EU list includes 65 individuals and 18 companies from Russia.

The European Union also announced new sanctions against Belarus, which will affect the fertilizer manufacturer Belaruskali and its export division.
