Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wentian and Cambodian Minister of Health Maan Benheng attended the signing ceremony.

  At the signing ceremony that day, the Cambodian Ministry of Health and the Cambodian pharmaceutical factory also signed the "New Coronavirus Vaccine Procurement and Supply Agreement".

  Wang Wentian said that since the outbreak of the new crown epidemic, China and Cambodia have shared weal and woe and have helped each other, setting a model for international anti-epidemic cooperation.

In March this year, the leaders of the two countries made a new plan for further promoting the building of a community of shared future with strategic significance between China and Cambodia, which pointed out the direction for the development of China-Cambodia bilateral relations.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Filling of Novel Coronavirus Inactivated Vaccines and the Agreement on Procurement and Supply of Novel Coronavirus Vaccines will lay a solid foundation for the construction of a vaccine bottling plant in the next step.

It is hoped that the companies of the two sides will cooperate closely in the future, accelerate the work, and build a vaccine filling plant at an early date, so as to benefit the Cambodian people as soon as possible, and make new contributions to the building of a community of shared future with strategic significance between China and Cambodia.

  Man Benheng congratulated and highly appreciated the signing of the memorandum of understanding on the cooperation project of the new crown vaccine filling project between Beijing Sinovation Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and Cambodian pharmaceutical factory, saying that this will allow Cambodia to fill according to China's standards and the World Health Organization's emergency use list. Vaccines to meet the needs of Cambodian people and foreigners living in Cambodia.

The Cambodian government has designated to purchase the new crown vaccine from the factory for domestic use in Cambodia during the three years from 2024 to 2026.
