The Constitutional Democratic Party and other three opposition parties protested against Hosoda's refusal to give explanations to the Diet over the fact that the Speaker of the House of Representatives Hosoda was reported in a weekly magazine about sexual harassment of female reporters.

The chairman of the House of Representatives Hosoda is reported in "Weekly Bunshun" that he is repeating acts that may be perceived as sexual harassment by female reporters, and has commented that "it is unfounded and I would like to consider litigation."

Under these circumstances, the Constitutional Democratic Party, the Communist Party, and the Social Democratic Party handed a letter of offer to Chairman Hosoda at the chairman's official residence on the morning of the 3rd.

Among them, "It is regrettable that despite the heads of the three powers, the alleged sexual harassment has defeated the authority of the legislature and caused distrust in politics," the opposition party repeatedly requested in the Diet. Hosoda is protesting that he does not respond.

In response, Chair Hosoda said, "We are preparing a proceeding, and after the closing of the current Diet session, we will take immediate steps to clarify the facts there."

"Chairman Hosoda has no awareness of being the head of the three powers and must be skeptical of his qualifications," Akiko Okamoto, a member of the House of Representatives of the Constitutional Democratic Party, told reporters.
