Because trapezoidal sheets weighing several tons threatened to slip off his truck, a driver had to drive to a parking lot on the A45 unscheduled.

Concerned drivers had previously alerted the police.

Before a patrol could catch up with the truck from Romania, which was headed towards Hanau, its driver had already turned into the parking lot.

There the officials saw the reason for the difficulties - and witnessed the driver's creativity: To prevent the load from slipping off, he strapped it to a table set in concrete with two benches.

The patrol of the highway police was amazed, as the police report goes on to say.

The police officers took a closer look at the truck and realized: "The combination of incorrectly securing the load with a rectangular wooden structure and fixing it with metal straps that gave in to the weight of the metal sheets and buckled, and a semi-trailer that was not suitable for this type of transport the load into the dangerous imbalance."

To remedy the situation, a crane was ordered to the parking lot.

He reloaded the upper trapezoidal sheets and the driver was allowed to continue his journey.
