Aeroflot is suspending commercial flights to Colombo (Sri Lanka) for the near future due to the unreliability of the situation in terms of ensuring unhindered flights of the airline's aircraft to Sri Lanka.
The sale of tickets for flights to Colombo is temporarily closed, ”the airlines said in a statement, cited by TASS.
Earlier it was reported that the high commercial court of Colombo issued a restraining order, according to which the Aeroflot aircraft cannot leave Sri Lanka.
The press service of Aeroflot confirmed the arrest of the company's aircraft in Sri Lanka.
The Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Moscow was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry and protested in connection with the detention of the aircraft.
