Recently, an inmate from the Takumbu National Prison in Paraguay disguised himself as a woman and proudly escaped from prison.

On the 1st of local time, local media including ABC reported that Cesar Ortiz (36), who was imprisoned for drug dealing, passed through the prison checkpoint and left the prison on two feet after disguised as a woman during a visit.

Paraguay reportedly allows single visits by men and women to protect the human rights of prisoners.

Ortiz took advantage of this and went into a private room with a woman to prepare to escape.

During the visit, he put on makeup and wore a skirt brought by a woman, a wig with long hair, and artificial nails.

After the visit was over, he passed three or four checkpoints and leisurely left the prison.

While Ortiz was passing through the prison checkpoint, no one suspected him, and the public CCTV footage showed the prison staff at the last checkpoint opening the door.

The guards, who realized this later, searched the area and arrested Ortiz not far away.

It was because Ortiz was wandering around the prison, as the gang that was supposed to come to pick him up didn't keep their promise.

Ortiz, who was eventually returned to prison, was transferred to the national prison in Emboscada, 40 km from Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay, on the 1st local time.

An official said, "At the time, none of the guards suspected him as a man.

The Ministry of Justice has announced the start of an internal investigation into the Takumbu National Prison, and has decided to dismiss the officers who served at the time Ortiz escaped.

Local netizens responded, "Does the prison checkpoint search have to be this bad?" and "The prison opened the door for poor makeup. Hundreds of people can escape."
