A fire that broke out in a home in Annecy (Haute-Savoie) on Wednesday was brought under control not by firefighters but by police officers.

The facts occurred at the beginning of the afternoon, reports

The firefighters were alerted shortly after 2 p.m. to a fire starting in the kitchen of a dwelling.

They immediately moved but when they arrived there, they realized that they had nothing more to do.

Indeed, national police officers, also alerted, had arrived before.

No hospitalization

The fire started from a fryer which had caught fire in the kitchen of an apartment.

The two occupants, a father and his son, were slightly disturbed by the smoke.

Supported by a nurse firefighter, they did not need to be transported to the hospital.

The reasons for the outbreak of fire in the appliance installation are still unknown, an investigation is underway.
