The Investigating Court number 8 of Valencia has prosecuted the former minister of the PP for what is known as the Erial case, along with the former vice president of Bankia and also president of the Valencian Government,

This follows from the indictment, notified this Thursday to the parties, for the alleged collection of more than 10 million euros in commissions for the privatization of the service of the Technical Inspection of Vehicles (ITV) ITV and the wind farms of the Community Valencian.

Zaplana is accused of the alleged crimes of criminal organization and money laundering.

According to the judge's order, "we are dealing with an organization made up of people who, some of them, taking advantage of the political positions they held at the time of the events, or had held, for several years together with companies Although most of them were created expressly, and also helped by individual entrepreneurs, they facilitated the obtaining of public contracts, obtaining all the parties economic benefits, some in greater amounts than others, since they were obviously the creators of said organization, benefits that were subsequently object of money laundering and other crimes.

Along with Zaplana and Olivas, others are being investigated, such as the alleged figurehead Joaquín Barceló.
