“They once again discussed the technical details of the timing for the resale of Russian oil products coming through the pipeline to the EU, but I believe that it is not very easy to find a common language with the (Euro) Commission on this topic,” the agency was told.

The interlocutor added that Hungary does not intend to approve the sixth package of sanctions against Russia until Patriarch Kirill is excluded from it.

“They are asking to remove Patriarch Kirill from the sanctions list of the sixth package of sanctions, indicating that they will not give the go-ahead until the name of the patriarch is removed from the list,” the source said.

Earlier, the media reported that Lithuania sent the European Union a proposal to add Patriarch Kirill to the sanctions list because of Ukraine.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that the country would not support the inclusion of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia on the EU sanctions list.
