  Earlier in the evening, Pakistani Taliban spokesman Mohammad Kurasani said in a statement that the ceasefire between the Pakistani Taliban and the Pakistani government would be extended indefinitely due to significant progress in the last two days of negotiations.

  Mohammad Kurasani said that the Pakistani Taliban held talks with representatives of the Pakistani government and members of the Loya Jirga in Kabul and made significant progress. Therefore, the Pakistani Taliban decided to extend the ceasefire between the Pakistani government indefinitely.

There will be more talks between the two sides in a few days to advance the negotiation process.

  Currently, a Pakistani government delegation, a Pakistani Taliban delegation and members of the Jirga from Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas are holding peace talks in Kabul, Afghanistan, with a view to ending 20 years of armed conflict in Pakistan's border tribal areas.
