DPA: EU refused to impose sanctions against Patriarch Kirill because of Hungary's position

"Sources: The EU agreed with Hungary to drop sanctions against Patriarch Kirill," the agency said in a Twitter post.

Earlier in Hungary, they demanded that the European Union not include Patriarch Kirill in the list of anti-Russian sanctions.

In addition, the Hungarian authorities put forward a number of technical requirements regarding the embargo on Russian oil.
