Elon Musk is obviously not the biggest fan of telecommuting.
In a message sent internally to Tesla employees, the businessman is unambiguous.
“
Anyone who wants to telecommute should be in the office 40 hours a week minimum (and I mean minimum) or leave Tesla
”.
The star boss explains that this is less than what is asked of the workers who assemble the cars and says he will personally oversee all exemption requests.
The email goes on to say that senior executives in particular should be seen in the office, and that he, Elon Musk, even lived there for several months in the past, otherwise the company would have gone bankrupt.

Elon Musk: an economic model in question
Like other large companies, Tesla has made it mandatory for its employees to return to the office.
Elon Musk is aware that some digital giants do not have the same policy and do questions and answers.
How long has it been since they released a great product?
"
It's been a while
," he says.
“
Tesla has created and will make the most exciting and important products of any company on Earth.
This will not be done by telephoning
”.
Employees of
Twitter, the social network he is trying to buy out
, will appreciate it.
The current owners have a totally opposite practice.
Parag Agrawal, its managing director, said in March that despite the reopening of offices, employees could still work from home if they wished.
According to the tone of Elon Musk's message, his employees who wish to be able to telecommute will above all have to prepare to go to work elsewhere.
