A man was seriously injured by gunshot early Monday evening in a street in the Croix-Daurade district, in Toulouse.
Firefighters received the call at 6:39 p.m.
On site, in front of the small shopping center on rue du Général-Giraud, they rescued a 29-year-old man who was injured in the abdomen.
He was transported "in absolute urgency" to the University Hospital of Rangueil.
The Toulouse public prosecutor's office has opened an investigation for attempted voluntary homicide, entrusted to the judicial police.
According to several sources, the shooter(s) fled and are still being sought.
