Vladimir Putin announced his intention to return the honorary title "Mother Heroine", supplementing its award with a payment of 1 million rubles.

The President spoke about this during a meeting with large families awarded the Order of Parental Glory.

The meeting took place on June 1, International Children's Day.

The President recalled that no payment is currently provided for the Parental Glory medal, and a payment of 100,000 rubles is due for the order.

“I propose to establish a lump sum payment of 200 thousand rubles for the medal.

When presenting the Order of Parental Glory itself, instead of 100 thousand rubles, as it was before, a lump sum payment of 500 thousand rubles.

And those mothers who will be awarded the honorary title “Mother Heroine” will receive 1 million rubles at a time,” the head of state said.

The President stressed that supporting families with children, protecting motherhood and childhood is an absolute priority for Russia.

Support for the children of Donbass

Along with this, Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that Russia would be able to fully provide social support to the children of Donbass.

In his opening remarks at the beginning of the meeting, Putin noted that on International Children's Day, one cannot but remember the children of Donbass, whose lives have been in danger for eight years.

“Those who are younger did not know life at all without bombing and shelling.

Many were wounded, many, unfortunately, were carried away by the war unleashed by the Kyiv regime against the Donbass.

Many children have lost their parents, and there are those who were left without relatives at all,” Putin said.

He stressed that Russia will do everything possible to provide the children of Donbass with all measures of social support, including medical care, a good education and a profession in demand.

“And, of course, we will help children who have lost loved ones to find the same loving, friendly, generous families as yours,” Putin addressed the meeting participants.
