Nablus

- The Palestinian authorities announced today, Wednesday, the death of a young man and the wounding of others by the Israeli occupation army's bullets during his storming of the town of Ya'bad, south of Jenin in the northern West Bank.

A brief statement by the Palestinian Ministry of Health said that a 24-year-old man was martyred after being shot with live bullets in the chest and thigh area, and arrived in a very critical condition at Jenin Governmental Hospital, where no attempts were made to rescue him.

At least two other young men were wounded by live bullets, and their injuries were described as serious and critical.

The ministry stated that the injuries were in the face, neck and abdomen, and that they were all transferred to hospitals in the nearby city of Jenin for treatment, denying that any of them had been killed until now.

Commenting on the operation, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry said, "We condemn in the strongest terms the crime of the occupation forces' execution of the young Bilal Kabha during their storming of the town of Yabad," adding, "We demand the International Criminal Court to break its suspicious silence and immediately investigate the crimes of the occupation."

She stressed that "the killings committed by the occupation are a translation of the instructions of the Israeli officials."

For its part, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said that "the blood of the martyrs will constitute fuel for the revolution of the Palestinian people, which will not stop until the achievement of its goals of liberation and return."

Martyr's house besieged

Dozens of military vehicles, led by a huge bulldozer, entered the town at nine in the evening and surrounded the home of the family of the martyr Diaa Hamarsha, the perpetrator of the guerrilla operation in the Israeli city of Bnei Brak at the end of last March.

Journalist Raed Abu Bakr from the town of Ya'bad said that the occupation forces soon stormed the village and closed its entrances and exits, preventing the movement of citizens to and from it, and closed secondary roads, which made it more difficult to transport the injured.

Demolition of the martyr's house

Abu Bakr explained to Al Jazeera Net that the occupation soldiers started the manual demolition of the house of the martyr Hamrasha after evacuating it, and they also evacuated the surrounding houses of their residents, in reference to the completion of the demolition process by detonating the house, and loudspeakers in the mosques of the village issued distress calls to defend the house of the family of the martyr Hamarsha and to confront the occupation army .

Local sources from the village of Yabad stated that the occupation army came under fire from Palestinian resistance fighters when it stormed the town, and stated that this escalated the confrontations between the youths and the occupation soldiers who fired live ammunition directly at the citizens, which led to many serious injuries at the same time.

By demolishing Hamarsha’s house, the Israeli occupation authorities would have demolished the first homes of the perpetrators of the guerrilla operations, the first of which was carried out by the martyr Diaa Hamarsha in late March, while the occupying power is still notifying the demolition of the homes of other perpetrators, especially the martyr Ra’ad Al-Hazem from Jenin camp.
