The Palestinians buried the body of a Palestinian journalist who was killed by the occupation soldiers at the entrance to Al-Aroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, under the pretext of trying to stab a soldier, amid condemnation by official Palestinian circles of the crime committed by the Israeli forces.

The freed prisoner, journalist Ghufran and Rasna, was critically wounded as a result of being targeted with live bullets in the upper part of her body.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that the occupation army obstructed its crews who tried to rescue the young woman for about half an hour before they could transfer her to a hospital in Hebron.

A statement by the occupation forces had claimed that the young woman approached a number of his soldiers at the entrance to the camp, carrying a knife, and they shot her directly.

Clashes erupted between Palestinian youths and the Israeli occupation forces at the entrance to Al-Aroub camp, north of Hebron, following the martyrdom of Ghufran and Rasna.

Young men went out in the camp to express their anger and protest against the killing of the Palestinian woman, as the occupation soldiers fired tear gas canisters at them, while the youths responded by throwing stones and burning tires.

The Israeli occupation forces obstructed the entry of the body of the journalist martyr to her hometown in Al-Aroub refugee camp, north of Hebron in the West Bank.

Pictures broadcast by activists showed that the occupation forces intercepted the ambulance carrying the body of the martyr, which prompted the funeral procession to carry the body on their shoulders and enter the camp.

The occupation soldiers suppressed the mourners with stun grenades and tear gas in an attempt to prevent them from passing to the camp.

Despite these measures, the citizens were able to enter the funeral procession and complete its funeral ceremonies in the camp.

Palestinian news websites said that Rasna holds a university degree in media from Hebron University, and previously worked as a journalist for local media.

According to Palestinian Ministry of Health data, since the beginning of this year, the Israeli army has killed 59 Palestinians in the West Bank, including Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, including 11 under the age of 18, and 5 women.

Official, party and trade union circles condemned the "execution of the young woman and Rasna," blaming the Israeli government for responsibility.

Palestinian government spokesman Ibrahim Melhem said on his Facebook account, "Just as they executed (journalist) Shireen (Abu Aqila) yesterday (May 11), today they execute a journalism graduate and the young liberated captive, Ghufran Haroun and Rasna with a bullet to the chest."

Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh was quoted as condemning the "horrific crime", and the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned "in the strongest terms the heinous crime of field execution", and considered it "an extension of a long and continuous series of field execution crimes."
