"The secretariat for economic affairs opposes the Copenhagen request, citing neutrality and the law on war materials," according to the Swiss television network RTS.

According to the company, Denmark intended to supply Ukraine with 20 wheeled armored vehicles, while the law on military materials does not provide for the re-export of military equipment.

On May 23, the German tabloid Bild reported that the German government was blocking the delivery of Marder infantry fighting vehicles to Kyiv.

Before that, the Die Welt newspaper wrote that Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba lost his temper during a conversation with the head of the German Defense Ministry on the topic of arms supplies to Kyiv. 

Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnik said that the Ukrainian side has the impression that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz "does not want" to supply heavy weapons to Ukraine.
