The Cabinet of Prime Minister Albany Gee, who won the general election in May in Australia, was officially inaugurated.

In the future, how to tackle issues such as climate change countermeasures and the chilling relationship with China will be questioned.

Vote counting for the general elections in Australia on May 21 is still ongoing, but the Election Commission says the Labor Party, led by Mr. Albany Gee, is expected to win a majority seat in the House of Representatives. The Labor Party is expected to win 77 of the 151 seats in the House of Representatives, more than half, according to the public broadcaster ABC.

Some ministers, such as Prime Minister Albany Gee and Foreign Minister Wong, have already taken office, but on June 1, other ministers also took an oath in front of the federal governor and the cabinet was officially inaugurated.

Of the 23 ministers in the new cabinet, 10 are women, accounting for the highest ever at about 43%, Aboriginal women as indigenous ministers, and Islamic ministers for early childhood education and youth outside the cabinet. The policy of emphasizing diversity was reflected, such as the appointment of a religious woman.

"The new government will bring about change, implement policies and lead people on a journey of change," Prime Minister Albany Gee said on May 31.

As Prime Minister Albany Gee, securing a majority of seats in the House of Representatives will enable stable administration, climate change measures, rising prices, chilling relations with China, and China's influence will expand. The skill will be questioned as to how to tackle issues such as support for the Pacific island nation.
