Reactions

The reactions of the Iraqis on the platforms varied regarding the return of the arms industry in the country, after the closure of the arms factories and the dissolution of the Military Industrialization Authority after the invasion and occupation of Iraq in 2003.

Former MP Faeq Al-Sheikh Ali asked - via his Twitter account - about the benefit of making a pistol at a time when other countries are making tanks, planes and missiles?

I hope the joy of manufacturing is to manufacture an agricultural tractor with its accessories, tools that contribute to construction.

Yes, achieving security is necessary, but securing the people's livelihood is first.

I think Iraq now does not need a machine for war! Rather, it needs a locally-made refrigeration device that takes into account electric consumption and is subsidized by price, especially as we are approaching the summer season, and the temperature will reach 60 degrees Celsius.

And the many needs of the Iraqi consumer.

The negative comments on the post are many and unjustified, they say why don't you make life?!

Its work is the manufacture of weapons and military equipment, and this is normal, and an achievement for the institution in its field of work https://t.co/sJu4E7MyYZ

- Yasser Al-Kheiro (@y_alkheiro) May 31, 2022

The journalist and writer Yasser Al-Khairo was surprised by the negative comments on the “Babylon pistol” industry, noting that “the Military Industrialization Authority’s work is the manufacture of weapons and military equipment, and this is a natural matter and an achievement for the institution in its field of work,” and it should not be asked about the life industry.
