In November 2021, while celebrating a wedding in the Ariane district of Nice while performing zigzags, the young driver with a three-month license lost control of the vehicle and hit a parked heavy weight.

His 20-year-old best friend was sitting on the windowsill and was ejected on impact.

He died despite attempts to resuscitate him.

A charter of good conduct in place

At the time of the tragedy, no alcohol or drugs, only the "euphoria" of the celebration and a car in poor condition.

At the hearing, the young man did not really know how to justify the facts but was well aware of the consequences.

"He was like a brother since kindergarten," he said.

Since 2019, a charter of good conduct has come into force regarding weddings in Nice.

She recalls that a “ceremony is a festive moment, but excesses must not disturb, beyond reason, neither public tranquility nor the safety of guests or third parties”.

Failure to comply may result in the ceremony being postponed.
