US President Joe Biden met the world-famous K-pop group BTS at the Oval Office, the Oval Office of the White House, to discuss anti-Asian hate crimes in the US.



Today (1st), President Biden invited BTS to the White House on the last day of America's 'Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month'.



The meeting between President Biden and BTS was not made public, but President Biden posted a video and message of his meeting with BTS on Twitter.



In a 59-second video posted on Twitter, President Biden even went outside in front of the Oval Office to meet BTS.

When BTS said, "It's an honor to meet you, President," President Biden greeted them by beckoning them to "Welcome to the White House. Come on in."



Then, sitting opposite the BTS members in the Oval Office, the Oval Office of the White House, President Biden said, "This month is an important month for America," and "many Asian American friends are experiencing real discrimination."



He said, "When good people talk about hate, hate hides. Hate falls when they say how bad it is. So thank you all."



In response, BTS member RM said, "I sincerely thank the President for signing the 'COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act' and making it into law. Thank you very much for trying to find it."



"People care a lot about what you say," Biden said. "What you do is good for everyone. It's not just your great talent that matters, but the message you communicate." I did.

Afterwards, President Biden tweeted, "It was nice to meet BTS.



Before meeting with President Biden, BTS stopped by the White House press room and expressed their position urging the end of anti-Asian hate crimes.
