Getafe, 1987. After shooting 'La Fortuna' with Amenábar, who was Lore in the series

'Aída'

, the actress

Ana Polvorosa

, participates in 'Plein air', a short film by Raúl Herrera produced by Mesala and with Ana Torrent as co-star who opens this Thursday.

How would you describe 'Plein air'?

It's one of those stories that seems like you're looking through a little hole, and that tells a small piece of a story between a mother and a daughter and the conflicts they may have between them regarding existence, the way of living.

Why is it sometimes so difficult to understand each other with our mothers?

Due to these contradictions of life -for having given birth to you and having had you inside her womb and having given you life-, it is precisely with those people with whom you have that level of trust and connection on an organic and spiritual level with which you can have more locks.

They are wise and intuitive and have this brutal sixth sense... They are beautiful contradictions, that a person who knows you so well is with whom at a given moment you can have a tremendous lack of communication.

Ana Torrent plays her mother.

There was a funny parallel there, because I had just finished shooting 'La fortuna' and I discussed it with Alejandro Amenábar [who directed it in 'Thesis'].

How is life, that suddenly the two of us cross paths here.

And well, I really wanted to work with her because I didn't know her personally, but she has always transmitted something very interesting to me as an actress and as a person.

She has something very magnetic that draws you in.

Has she got something out of the last two and a half 'Covidian' years professionally?

In my case, every second of my life is worth it for my profession, so that I can later express myself in my work.

We have gone through a moment in which there has been a generalized downturn, seeing ourselves in this more murky situation, with no way out, that puts you on the ropes, of not knowing what is going to happen, a lot of fear, a lot of insecurity.

I believe that all this is valid for every feeling, every emotion, every thought you have in your life.

How would you say that she has evolved as an actress?

There is one thing that I have been learning from my profession, which is to flow and be able to develop creatively, artistically, spiritually... whatever you want to call it.

You don't have to think much more.

I had a conflict with this of wanting to be in a state because the character required it.

And I have learned that no, that the character starts from where you start.

That is to say: if you are in a lower emotional moment or in another in which you have won the lottery, you have 4 million euros in your account, you are constantly with a smile on your face and suddenly you have to make a destroyed character.

Have you ever regretted starting acting as a child?

Throughout the years that I have been dedicating myself to this I have had my ups and downs.

But I think I have been able to deal with critical moments, with my turning points on a personal and professional level.

And also see where I want to direct my career, what makes me happy and what makes me grow and evolve.

To see that all this has a meaning and that it is going somewhere.

And the truth is that I am very proud and calm about the steps I have been taking and how I have done it.

How was it that everyone identified her with the Lore of 'Aída'?

Let's see, is that: who has not seen 'Aída' in his life?

In other words, surely everyone, at some point in their life, has zapped and put a bit, even if it's ten minutes of a chapter.

And I am amazed when I see that the series is still broadcasting and people are still watching it.

Everyone knew all of us, all of the actors and actresses that were in the series, and it was absolute madness to go out on the street.

There were situations that were a bit overwhelming.

Right now I am much calmer.

When, from time to time, someone recognizes me, they usually also associate me with 'Cable girls' or 'La fortuna'.

And it's like: how good, what relief, the wheel is turning and we are moving and we are all evolving.

Because it is true that there was a moment there that seemed like we had been trapped in time.

People empathize when they see you do a job and they connect with you, with your way of transmitting.

There was a lot of love for all the characters in the series, a reverence thing.

But there is a point where it would be so wonderful if we lived in anonymity too.

Speaking of crazy, what do you think of this other one we're currently immersed in?

We are very confused and we should relax a bit, take it easy, give normality and treat each other with respect.

And listen to us, which is very important.

It doesn't matter who you are or where you come from or whatever, but when the other person speaks to you, listen and respect each other.

How do you manage on social networks?

I am happily lost because I realize that our minds are going to places that we are not aware of.

And that scares.

And it produces a lot of sadness because we are leaving aside what is truly important.

I prefer to live in my absent world, taking an interest in the things that truly bring me something beautiful in my life.

I'm not going to be intellectual here either, but for me it's more interesting to meet someone or make a call to someone than to start a chat with emoticons. I don't have the need to capture every second of my life, because what's important is already inside me. from my.

The interesting thing is that you control it and that it does not control you.

And if you can use it as a work tool from a sensible point of view and with a bit of common sense, it's wonderful.
