Being an ally of the far right does not guarantee that you will be spared its fiercest attacks.

Farida Belghoul can attest to this.

A figure in the Beurs march of 1984 who had become close to the far right, the former teacher had approached the writer Alain Soral in 2013 and 2014. She then launched a movement "Day of withdrawal from school against a supposed teaching of a “gender theory” at school, supposed to deny sexual difference.

This did not prevent Alain Soral from quoting his name when responding, in a video posted on YouTube, to the question of a user who asked him about "infiltrators" in his organization Equality and Reconciliation.

The polemicist had then declared: "it will also allow me to say that we have had traitors of all stripes... eh... but a lot, I am sorry to deplore it, of North Africans, there is still a propensity for treason among the North Africans, no doubt a past of colonial submission”.

Already sentenced twenty times

For the court, "the comments prosecuted are outrageous and contemptuous towards the civil party and this, because of his North African origin, to which (she) is referred as if this were enough to define him as a person to assign him in a degrading place.

Alain Bonnet, dit Soral was also ordered to pay 2,000 euros in damages and 2,000 euros in legal costs.

The 63-year-old writer has been convicted twenty times, notably for incitement to hatred and contestation of crimes against humanity.

In April, he was already sentenced in Switzerland to three months in prison for homophobic attacks, but he opposed this decision and must be retried.
