At least four people were killed in earthquakes with magnitudes 6.1 and 4.5 in Ya'an, Sichuan Province, China on the afternoon of the 1st, local time.



According to the China Earthquake Zone, a magnitude 6.1 earthquake was observed in Lushan County, Ya'an City, at 5 p.m. that day, and a magnitude 4.5 earthquake occurred in Baoxing County, Ya'an City three minutes later.



The state-run news agency Xinhua reported that as of 7:40 p.m., four people had been killed and 14 others were injured in Baoxing County.



According to Xinhua, all of the dead suffered stool from falling rocks.
