According to the Anadolu agency, citing the minister, one of the obstacles "are the mines laid by Ukraine in the sea in the Odessa region."

On the other hand, the situation with food is complicated by the sanctions applied to Russian ships and the impossibility of "providing services in international ports," Cavusoglu added.

According to the head of the Foreign Ministry, technically mines "can be defused in 1-2 weeks."

At the same time, he clarified that Ukraine does not want Russian ships to call at the ports of Odessa, and Russia "also does not want ships that will transport goods along this corridor to deliver weapons to Ukraine."

“How can they be sure of all this?

There should be a verification mechanism,” said the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

As Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said earlier, Moscow guarantees the unhindered export of Ukrainian grain by ships, but this requires the clearing of coastal waters by Ukrainian representatives.

Russian President Vladimir Putin also noted that the country is ready to facilitate the unhindered maritime transit of goods in coordination with Turkish partners.
