  • Events The family of the woman allegedly poisoned by her niece and the actor Luis Lorenzo: "Isabel was afraid of them"

Isabel, the 85-year-old woman allegedly poisoned by her niece and actor Luis Lorenzo, had cadmium 200 times higher than normal and

an accumulation of manganese 20 times higher than usual

in a human body, according to the first autopsy results. .

The forensic reports, therefore, support the hypothesis of the Civil Guard and the old woman's family, who insist that her death was caused by acute heavy metal intoxication.

The medical report even points out the possibility that these two heavy and very toxic metals in high concentration

could have been administered to the elderly woman orally,

that is, "by ingesting products that contain cadmium and manganese in high doses, according to El Confidential. These two heavy metals are present in dyes, batteries and fungicides and also in the environment in industrialized areas. On the other hand,

Luis Lorenzo

's lawyer , Francisco Pérez, questions the evidence that incriminates the actor and his partner and maintains that it could exist

a previous contamination

of the deceased by habitual consumption of fish with mercury.

Last Thursday the Civil Guard arrested Lorenzo and his partner, Arancha, accused of a crime of homicide to presumably keep

the inheritance of the old woman who modified her will months before her death in favor of her niece.

After testifying before the court, they were released on bail and the magistrate imposed on them the obligation to appear in court every week, legal sources have reported.

The two involved have denied the facts and have indicated that a lot of falsehoods are being told.

They assure that they took care of the old woman and that they had hired a woman to care for her a month before the octogenarian died in Madrid.

"We fully trust the work that justice is doing and I ask respect from all the media for a constitutional right, which is

the presumption of innocence.

I am absolutely convinced that this will be clarified. The only thing I wish is that it be as soon as possible." possible," said the actor.

The woman died in June 2021 at the couple's home in Rivas Vaciamadrid of alleged natural death due to dementia and was buried in her homeland, Asturias.

However, the victim's brother doubted this version and requested an autopsy, which was finally granted by the judge.

Forensics found in the woman's body the presence of two heavy metals in very high doses that had caused death.

Isabel, according to the autopsy, died of poisoning and the etiology of her death is 'violent/homicidal'.

Then, the agents of the Homicide Group of the Civil Guard took over the investigation.

They discovered that during her stay in the detainees' house, the deceased spent a large amount of money and that she had signed a new will, in which he left all his inheritance to the actor's wife.

The judge, who has blocked the inheritance until the investigations are concluded, ordered the search of the detainees' house to locate the alleged materials used for the poisoning, as well as evidence of the alleged homicide.

In the search of the house, the agents also found almost 100,000 euros in cash, according to what ABC has advanced today.

In addition, the patrimonial investigation indicates that the couple had about 50,000 euros in their bank account.

As for the possible economic motive for the alleged homicide, the actor's lawyer says that there is a will from May 2021 in which the direct relatives of the actor's partner were already excluded and they made it to this universal heiress.

According to the version of the accused, Arancha P.'s aunt wanted to come to live in Madrid and she settled with her partner in Rivas, since they were in charge of taking her to specialists after being diagnosed with dementia.

In fact, she will prove her visit to different medical centers. The Civil Guard, on the other hand, has no record of said diagnosis but suspects that it was a maneuver for the doctor to certify a natural death as a result of that disease.

The Prosecutor's Office did not request imprisonment last week for the couple, among other reasons, because the patrimonial is not concluded and because it must be proven that the heavy metals present in the victim's body poisoned her and reached her body supplied by a third party.
