The Ministry of Justice's Human Resources Information Management Team, which is responsible for verifying public officials' personnel, has been passed by the State Council.



In the morning of the 31st, at the cabinet meeting held at the government complex in Sejong presided over by Prime Minister Han Deok-soo, the government proposed and decided on some amendments to the enforcement rules for organizations affiliated with the Ministry of Justice and the information collection and management regulations on candidates for public office.



As the bill is approved, the Ministry of Justice will take over the role of personnel verification in place of the Senior Civil Administrative Office, which was in charge of personnel verification for public officials.



The management team consists of 20 people, 1 prosecutor or senior civil servant, 3 prosecutors, 1 person in grades 3 and 4, 4 people in grades 4 and 5, 4 people in grade 5, 3 people in grade 7, 1 person in grade 8, 1 person in grade 9 Includes 1 person, 2 police officers and more.



Minister of Justice Han Dong-hoon attended the meeting via video in the State Council Room of the Government Complex in Seoul.



The opposition party has threatened to review the proposal to dismiss a minister when the management team is established, saying that the powers of the Ministry of Justice and the prosecution will be bloated if the personnel information management team is installed.
