“The government (of the ruling party. -

) of New Democracy tirelessly continues the dangerous participation of Greece in the conflict in Ukraine, this time by sending armored vehicles,” TASS quotes a statement.

The party also noted that the country learned about the planned supplies not from Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, but from German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

“For this reason, the government and the competent Ministry of Defense should immediately provide clarifications both on the content of this decision: which Greek units are affected by the delivery of specific armored vehicles, and on the details of the Greek-German agreement,” the KKE stressed.

Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced that agreements had been reached with the Greek authorities on the supply of Soviet-style tanks to Kyiv as part of the so-called circular exchange.

It is noteworthy that in April the official representative of the Greek government, Ioannis Ikonomou, said that Greece was not going to send more military equipment to Ukraine.
