The Russian minister said this during a meeting with OIC Secretary General Hussein Ibrahim Taha.

His words are reported by TASS.

Lavrov also expressed the hope that Western countries would consider problems in the world "not on the basis of diktat, but on the basis of the principles of the UN Charter, primarily the principle that implies respect for the sovereign equality of states."

Prior to this, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in an interview with RT Arabic, noted that Russia appreciates that the Arab countries refuse to be led by the West. 

Lavrov also said that Moscow respects the fundamental interests of the Arab countries in connection with the threats to their security and they reciprocate.
