A motorist driving at (very) high speed was intercepted by the gendarmes this Friday at the end of the day near Belval (Ardennes).

He was traveling on the A304, in the Belgium-France direction, at a speed of 205 km / h, reports L'Ardennais.

The military was performing a speed check on the highway when the twin speed cameras recorded a Lexus RX300, a luxury vehicle, traveling at excessive speed.

The gendarmes immediately chased the driver and caught him 18 km away.

Vehicle seized by police

The speed finally retained for the offense of the motorist, of Dutch nationality, is 194 km/h.

His driver's license was immediately withheld pending a court-ordered suspension.

As required by procedure, the car was immediately seized, immobilized and impounded for seven days at the owner's expense.
