In a statement by the Russian Ministry of Defense on the latest developments of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, the Russian army found a truck carrying the bodies of 152 Ukrainian fighters in Azovstal, and under the bodies were 4 explosive devices and mines.

The Ministry of Defense said in its statement, quoting prisoners of the Azov militants, that the mining of the bodies that had been left in Azovstal was carried out on the instructions of Kyiv, in order to bring further accusations against the Russian side.

She explained that there are two objectives of the mines: the first is to harm the Russian forces, and the second is to erase any trace of the identity of the dead and classify them as missing in order for Kyiv to avoid paying compensation to their families.

The ministry noted that the Russian side plans to hand over those corpses found in Azovstal to representatives of Ukraine in the near future.
