A power outage affected thousands of homes in Perpignan and many other towns in the department overnight from Monday to Tuesday, reports

The incident obviously started around 3am.

A bug on a high voltage line

In total, nearly 90,000 homes were without electricity for at least an hour or two because of this outage.

Power gradually returned overnight.

Among the victims of this general blackout, some homes were also deprived of running water over the same period.

This Tuesday morning, everything was back to normal in the department.

According to Enedis, the power outage was due to a technical incident at a high voltage line located between Narbonne and Perpignan.
