9 dead, 63 injured in 14 mass shootings during the US Memorial Day holiday

  During the three-day Memorial Day holiday, there were 14 mass shootings in the United States, killing nine people and injuring 63, according to statistics released on May 31 by the U.S. Archives of Gun Violence.

  The data showed that 14 mass shootings occurred in 10 states during the three-day holiday, including California, Michigan, Texas and Illinois.

  The U.S. Archives of Gun Violence classifies shootings that include four or more victims as mass shootings.
