China News Service, Shanghai, May 31st: Li Huijuan: A 49-day "War Epidemic Diary" in the "Eye of the Storm"

China News Service reporter Li Shuzheng

Early in the morning on April 13, Li Huijuan received a notification of dispatching support just after reading the data released on the epidemic.

As a full-time cadre of the Pudong District Committee of the Jiusan Society, Li Huijuan moved upon hearing the order.

An hour later, she came to Shangnan'er Village on Zhoujiadu Street to support community epidemic prevention and control.

Zhoujiadu Sub-district is adjacent to Beicai Town and Sanlin Town, where the epidemic is the most serious. At that time, it was in the "eye of the storm" of the epidemic, and there were many positive infections at one time.

The second Shangnan Village supported by Li Huijuan is an old community, and the epidemic prevention and control situation is severe.

"There are more than 4,000 residents, and elderly residents account for more than 40% of the total population. The workload of dispensing medicines in one week exceeds 300. The staff of the neighborhood committee have been diagnosed and blocked..." On May 31, accept a reporter from Chinanews.com During the exclusive interview, Li Huijuan recalled the "early stage of the war epidemic" and said frankly: "To be honest, on the first day of reporting, seeing the situation was so severe, I felt very complicated."

Nucleic acid testing was organized during the day, supplies were distributed at night, and together with the community police, they went to the door to transfer positive cases overnight... The "white and black" on duty all day, the dual pressure of physical and mental strength, constituted Li Huijuan's "War Epidemic Diary". "Prologue".

"How to optimize nucleic acid testing? How to distribute supplies to residents as soon as possible? What to do with dispensing medicine?" Thinking about the epidemic prevention and control, Li Huijuan was still unable to sleep in the middle of the night.

In addition to assisting in nucleic acid sampling, distributing guaranteed supplies, and assisting residents in dispensing medicines, Li Huijuan also took the initiative to undertake the task of sealing and controlling buildings and visiting nucleic acids for the elderly, wearing airtight protective clothing to start "sweeping buildings".

"There are about 60 elderly households on the list, plus the returners and close contacts from the closed buildings and shelters, it is 'daily' to climb more than 20 buildings a day." Li Huijuan said that the high-intensity work was completely cured. Her "insomnia", "returned to the temporary residence late at night, fell on the bed and wanted to rest for a while to wash up, but when I opened my eyes, it was bright."

Although the work is tiring, there are moments of warmth from time to time.

"Every time we come to our door, many residents express their gratitude to us. The 85-year-old elderly who live alone often say: 'Thanks to you'." Li Huijuan caught a cold, and the residents brought ginger brown sugar water; the weather was sultry, Some residents also brought cold drinks from their own refrigerators to relieve the heat for the "big whites".

The hard work of Li Huijuan and her colleagues has also inspired more and more residents to join the ranks of volunteers to build a "defense line" of the epidemic.

"There was a heavy rain when we distributed materials. Our volunteers worked in the rain for four or five hours, and their feet were soaked." Li Huijuan said, such a scene fell in the eyes of the residents, "Someone said: 'It's not easy for you, let me help too.' In this way, our team has grown again!"

The volunteer team of Shangnan No. 2 Village has grown from more than ten people to more than forty people; the epidemic prevention and control situation in the community has gradually improved, and it has been changed from a closed control area to a prevention area.

May 31 was the last day for Li Huijuan to support Shangnan Second Village.

"During the epidemic, some people practiced dispensing skills, some became masters of nucleic acid scanning code, and there were 'group buying experts' who ensured the dining table of the residents in the community..." After 49 days of "war epidemic", Li Huijuan recorded the experience of being in it. As a souvenir for myself, "there are sweat, tears and laughter in the memories, but more touching."

With the improvement of the epidemic prevention and control situation in Shanghai, the city will also usher in the "fireworks" of the past.

"I made an appointment with other volunteers. When life returns to normal, I will go back to Nan'er Village to see it." Li Huijuan said, "Because in the most difficult times, we sweated and fought together and shared happiness together." (Finish)
