The Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah directed government departments and bodies in the emirate to work more and more integratively, to provide safe and stable housing for citizens, with easy and expedited procedures.

The Council valued the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to concede the emirate’s share within the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program for the benefit of the other emirates, which confirms the importance of housing for the Emirati family, and its role in achieving stability and family safety, and accelerating the procedures for beneficiaries’ access on housing support.

This came during the presiding of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council, the meeting of the Council, which was held in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, yesterday, at the Ruler’s Office .

The Council praised the role of the Sharjah Housing Program in providing all housing services, since its establishment in 2012, noting that housing support in Sharjah dates back to the end of the sixties of the last century.

He stressed that the program has become a successful and pioneering example of housing services.

The Council directed government departments and bodies in the emirate to work more and more integratively to put the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah into practice, and to provide safe and stable housing with easy and expedited procedures.

During its meeting, the council was briefed on the response of the Sharjah Housing Program to the recommendations of the Emirate's Advisory Council on discussing the policy of the program, which comes as an affirmation of the joint work between government agencies in order to provide the best government services, and to pay attention to and touch the needs and requirements of citizens.

The response of the Sharjah Housing Program included the efforts and initiatives that the program is working on, which are in line with the recommendations of the Advisory Council, in addition to the percentages of completion of the various projects that the program is working on in all cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah.

The Council approved the operational proposals for a number of new government nurseries in Taiba, Suhaila, Al Barir and Al Nahwa, to keep pace with the increasing demand for nurseries, and to provide the appropriate environment for children's care during the working period of their parents.

The council also discussed a number of governmental issues in various vital sectors, and took decisions regarding them that are in the interest of the emirate, and that would develop government work and infrastructure, and enhance the civilized image of Sharjah.
