The joint committee for military cooperation between the UAE and Australia discusses issues of common interest

The Joint Committee for Military Cooperation between the UAE and Australia held its eleventh meeting from 23 to 27 May in the Australian capital, Canberra.

The delegation of the Ministry of Defense was headed by Major General Staff Pilot Mubarak Ali Al Neyadi, Head of the Executive Department for Defense Policies and Strategic Affairs.

During the visit, the delegation held several meetings with the commander of the Australian Defense Force and his deputy and with a number of leaders and assistant undersecretaries in the Australian Ministry of Defense, where they discussed relations of joint cooperation between the two countries and ways to develop them in various defense fields, in addition to discussing a number of issues of common interest.

The delegation conveyed the greetings of Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bawardi, Minister of State for Defense Affairs, and Lieutenant-General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Australian Ministry of Defense.

The delegation visited the Australian War Memorial, where a wreath was laid as part of the official ceremonies of the visit, in the presence of the Deputy Commander of the Australian Defense Force.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Australian Ministry of Defense honored Major General Mubarak Al Neyadi with the star of outstanding performance of the Australian Ministry of Defense, in appreciation of his dedicated efforts in developing joint cooperation between the two countries.
