Sultan Al Qasimi: 10,000 beneficiaries of the housing program in Sharjah by the end of the year at a cost of 8 billion dirhams

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, confirmed that the Emirate of Sharjah has enough in the Sharjah Housing Program to cover the housing needs of the emirate's citizens, noting that the Sharjah housing program is large, and therefore we do not want to crowd out the rest of the emirates that You need housing more than us, so His Highness announced that Sharjah will concede the emirate's share in the Zayed Housing Program to the other emirates.

His Highness said in an intervention via the "live broadcast" today: "If the head of the Department of Housing in Sharjah, Dr. Khalifa Al Tunaiji, would write a message that Sharjah is giving up its share to the other emirates, the Sharjah Housing Program started in 2012, and we have so far reached about 9608 between grant and loan. And the most of them are grants, as there are 5,850, compared to 4,550 loans.

His Highness revealed that the number of grants and loans reached by the end of this year 2022 to 10 thousand grants and loans, pointing out that the amounts disbursed so far are divided between 3 billion and 527 million for loans, and about 4 billion for grants, with a total of more than 7 billion dirhams, and is expected to reach 8 billion. billions by the end of the year.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah indicated that these housing units are divided into: 5,550 housing, loan or grant in the city of Sharjah and Hamriya, 2885 in the eastern region, and 1,173 in the central region, explaining that 3,404 housing units have been delivered so far, while 3036 housing is being delivered under construction. That there are 3168 dwellings that have been approved and are not referred by Hail, and the ball is currently in the beneficiaries' court.

His Highness continued: We will have 10,000 homes in the emirate by the end of this year, which have been completed over the past 10 years, at a total cost of 8 billion dirhams.
