RT correspondent spoke about a car explosion in the center of Melitopol

The exploded car was parked near the main city square and the House of Culture, where the administration of Melitopol is now working.

As a result of the explosion, glass was broken in neighboring buildings. 

“The explosion happened about 15 minutes ago, I was in the central square.

The sound was such that it blocked the ears.

Several dozen people in camouflage have already cordoned off this place.

This is the first time this has happened in Melitopol since the Russian troops entered here,” he said.

There is no information about the victims. 

The correspondent was detained during the broadcast, when he tried to get closer to the scene.

Earlier, the deputy head of the military-civilian administration of the Kherson region, Kirill Stremousov, said that the Ukrainian military made two attempts to break through the defense line of the region.
