“There has never been a stable consensus in Europe on the issue of imposing sanctions against the Russian Federation,” Mezukho said.

He noted that there have always been countries in the European Union that oppose the introduction of restrictions and sanctions pressure on Russia.

“However, European officials and Washington pushed through the knee the necessary Russophobic and anti-Russian decisions of a political and economic nature,” the political scientist emphasized.

The decision-making process in the EU can hardly be called democratic, it looks more like totalitarianism, the expert believes.

In his opinion, there are serious concerns about political pressure on Hungary within Europe.

“The European Union has always been a structured organization in which the strong dictated their will to the weak,” the expert concluded.

Earlier, Orban said that a compromise on the sixth package of EU sanctions against Russia had not been reached.
