Just over six months ago, the union sounded the alarm about the major work environment problems within Boden's social administration, and by then 80 employees had already stopped protesting.

It is about ruler technology, abusive discrimination, lack of structure and clarity regarding responsibility, mandate and roles and a high level of stress.

Staff flight threatens

Now the consulting company Winternet has presented its report of just over 150 pages, which confirms the picture of a business with major problems and where more than half of those who remain working have considered quitting due to the poor working environment.

And the consultants state that it is primarily the managers who must develop their views on the work environment, values, behavior and treatment.

Just under one in four employees in elderly care believe that the immediate manager has a good leadership ability - the others do not agree at all or only partially.

And there is actually zero tolerance for abusive discrimination, but it occurs according to the report and every fourth employee has no or limited confidence in how the administration handles the issue.

"Exposed to ruler technology"

In the interviews with the administration's employees, many are critical of the situation_

  • "We have a bad management.

It's just a ruler and everyone else is dolls dancing ”

  • "Several in the management group treat others in the same group with irony and and experience themselves as excellent themselves."

  • "The mood is low.

I myself have been exposed to ruler technology and did not think it was possible that it would happen "

Chairman of the critique

Beatrice Öhman (S) is chairman of the social committee in Boden.

- It's sad because you wish you would not have to take part in such a report, but I also feel hopeful.

Now it's just a matter of rolling up our sleeves and starting an improvement work, she tells SVT.
