When Foreign Minister Ann Linde (S) signed Sweden's NATO application on May 17, there was talk that Sweden's path into the military alliance would go at record speed.

But now a lot points to a lengthy process.

- There is an irritation in Turkey over Ann Linde's Kurdish-Syrian contacts, there is also information that she has acted arrogantly towards Turkey, says Tomas Thorén.

At the same time, few in Turkey have any opinion that Sweden wants to join NATO, says Tomas Thorén.

- But the accusations that Sweden is a nest for terrorist groups and enemies of Turkey is something that engages.
