According to Interfax, a measure of restraint in the form of detention was chosen in absentia against Andrei Polyakov, the commander of the 53rd separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as Aleksey Makhov, the commander of the 2nd airborne assault battalion of the 95th separate airborne assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee of Russia demanded to arrest in absentia the head of SIZO No. 13 in Kyiv, Alexander Balduk.

He is accused of using torture on Russian prisoners of war and Ukrainian citizens who supported the Russian side.

On May 12, the heads of the Nikolaev and Kropyvnytsky pre-trial detention centers Roman Chabanenko and Sergey Shamshur were arrested in absentia in Moscow for ill-treatment of Russian servicemen who were captured in Ukraine.

The court chose for them a measure of restraint in the form of detention for two months from the moment of detention.
