At the summit meeting on the 30th, the EU-European Union agreed on a ban on the import of Russian oil, which had been divided into different positions, by limiting it to oil transported by ship for the time being.

The EU held a summit meeting in Brussels, Belgium from the 30th to the 2nd, and on the first day, it discussed a plan to ban the import of Russian oil, which was considered as an additional sanction against Russia, by the end of the year.

Hungary, which procures oil from Russia in the pipeline, has strongly opposed the oil import ban, saying that it threatens to secure its own energy, but as a result of discussions, the target of the import ban will be in the pipeline for the time being. It means that they have agreed to limit the use of oil to be shipped by ship.
