The prefecture released the figures, as if to respond to the fed up of the inhabitants of Laillé (Ille-et-Vilaine).

Saturday evening, some of the residents of this town located south of Rennes did not sleep much, due to the holding of a major rave party which brought together around 800 people at the height of the night.

An event that ended Sunday afternoon and took place "without incident" according to the prefecture.

As it was an "undeclared rave party", the State services requested the intervention of the police to control the exits from this former quarry.

“A hundred offenses” were noted by the police.

In detail, the gendarmes recorded 19 driving under the influence of an alcoholic state and offenses on the possession of narcotic products and five driving without a license.

The gendarmes have drawn up 29 criminal lump sum fines and noted 69 various violations of the Highway Code.

Three people were arrested, all suspected of being behind the destruction of a shed that was the victim of a fire and an agricultural field.

It was the third party in a month in this small town on the outskirts of Rennes.

The municipality specified that it had sent a letter on May 17 to the prefecture of Ille-et-Vilaine so that it would do “everything to prevent a new demonstration from taking place in the town”.

The mayor had also issued a municipal decree to prohibit the holding of festive gatherings without authorization.

"But only the prefecture has the power to implement the appropriate means to prevent a new rave from taking place," said the municipality.
