Following the Korean government's push to supply 100,000 155mm shells to Canada, which supplies weapons to Ukraine, it was confirmed as a result of SBS coverage that it plans to export domestic weapons to Poland.

A high-ranking official at the Ministry of National Defense told SBS, "Poland, which is suffering from a shortage of weapons to help Ukraine, requested the export of domestic weapons such as the K4 high-speed grenade machine gun, K2 tank, and K21 armored car in March."

The domestic weapon that is ready for export the fastest is the K4 high-speed grenade machine gun, which is also used for anti-tank use.

It was confirmed that the DAPA recently approved preliminary export of 275 K4 tablets to Poland.

An official from the Ministry of National Defense said, "In the case of the K2 tank and the K21 armored vehicle, it will take about a year to export, considering the negotiations and production period."

Like the 100,000 rounds of 155mm shells that are being exported to Canada, exports of domestic weapons to Poland are likely to cut prices to some extent.

While avoiding direct assistance with weapons of lethality that provokes Russia, it will make a substantial contribution to improving Ukraine's combat power.

Yesterday (29th), Polish Defense Minister Marius Bułashtsak visited Korea and took the lead in the introduction of weapons, such as visiting Korean defense companies.

Today, it is known that Defense Minister Lee Jong-seop and DAPA chief Kang Eun-ho had a series of meetings to coordinate export prices and schedules for K2, K4, and K21.
